House Update

The last couple weeks, we've been putting the roof on our house. Even though I say that, in all actuality, my dad has been putting the roof on! The day the trusses went on, my brother Todd decided it would be fun to smash his finger with his hammer. Not only smash it but, smash it enough to need 14 stitches on the tip of his left index finger. He doesn't admit it, but I'm sure he cried. Silly brother. As a result, my dad ended up putting the north side of the roof on by himself. Wow!

I was down there one day putting the ties on and my dad needed one of the sheets lifted up to him (the red boards). I dragged that board over and with all my strength lifted it over my head. It was during that intense workout (I know, come on people, I just had a baby) then that I realized we owed my dad...big time!




It's frustrating to me because I would love to be down there working more than I am, but alas, this is where I spend most of my time...





The benefit about spending the majority of my time there is that I get to play with this little kid all day (even though he's usually not amused)!





Thanks Dad, for your hard work; thanks Todd, for staining our new concrete...oh, and your hard work, too :) It makes me feel very happy.




Once the house is finished, you'll never have to see that face again...promise...
